THE SENTINELS OF THE RULE OF LAW, JOIN OTHER CIVIC, SOCIAL AND RELIGIOUS ORGANIZATIONS IN CALLING FOR THE RESIGNATION OF PRESIDENT BENIGNO S. AQUINO III.
The Sentinels of the Rule of Law also join the entire Nation in mourning and condemning the untimely deaths of the Forty-Four (44) SAF Men.
We believe that as President of the Republic, Mr. Aquino is responsible for the deaths of our gallant policemen under the principle of COMMAND RESPONSIBILITY. An honorable leader would have accepted with deep humility this responsibility as Commander-in-Chief, but Mr. Aquino has shown that he is not honorable, and certainly not a leader.
It is ironic that during his time in the opposition, Mr. Aquino and his Party have used the same principle of Command Responsibility to lambast and criticize his predecessor – the same principle he now refuses to accept as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and the National Police
The People have lost faith in the President and the Office he represents. Time and time again Mr. Aquino has demonstrated his insincerity, insensitivity and incompetence in the face of crises. Mr. Aquino has failed the Nation and its People. IT IS TIME FOR HIM TO GO!
